"Dear Younger Self" - 2022
The human experience has always intrigued and inspired me. I’m at an integral place in my life… my 20s; often crippled with self-doubt, torn between listening to the whispers of my heart and following a more “secure” route. Connecting with seniors in their 70s-90s has gracefully forced me to shed my ego. Remembering that we are all one, together, and age is simply just a number. We all FEEL, love, hurt, laugh, doubt, cry… we’re all human. This journey has given me the opportunity to learn to live with more integrity. It’s reminded me of what life is truly about & brought me closer to my values, including community, connection, and empathy.
Thank you to everyone who invited me into their home and shared their hearts with me, and a big thank you to The Chelsea in Fanwood, NJ for inviting me to connect with some of your residents.
The beauty of photography is that images allow people, places, and experiences to be immortal.
My final semester project, “Dear Younger Self”.
