"Traditional Luthier Artisanship: Giuliano Merlini" - 2023

Giuliano Merlini is one of the only traditional luthiers left in Florence. It was important for me to capture his process and the process of his students. Transforming natural resources into instruments that have the power to evoke human emotion is an act of love. The care that is selflessly offered to the process of this craft is a humble gesture by the artisan, one that takes a nurturing essence and moves it into another medium.
